Today, we are only
one month from the
National Day of
Prayer event. On
this day the
President of the
United States will
present to the
Nation a
Proclamation
encouraging all
American's to pray.
In Harrisburg
Pennsylvania we are
excited about the
possibilities to
connect our
prayers. In keeping
with the theme:
"America UNITE in
Prayer", it is our
hope to bring to the
Capitol Steps a
prayer service a
representation
of the Body of
Christ.
For many years now
the church has
gathered on the
steps of the Capitol
over the lunch hour
on National Day of
Prayer. Several
different groups
have done an awesome
job in organizing
these powerful times
of prayer and we
want to express our
appreciation to them
and continue to
build upon what they
have begun. This
past year, we've
been asked to
coordinate in
Harrisburg, making
sure that this
expression will
continue.
Would you help
us? There are several ways you can do that.
ADVERTISE: Put a note in your church
bulletin about the Prayer Service at the Capitol
from 11:30 AM till 1 PM
PARTICIPATE: Let us know about your
interest to be part of the service or if you
have a group of dancers, flagers, etc.
VOLUNTEER: We are in need a few people
to help set up, greeters to hand out
programs, and people to help in the information
tent.
INFORMATION TENT: If you have
something that you would like to pass out at the
event you MUST let us know
ahead of time. We would prefer you to join us
in the information tent, let's not be passing
things out in the crowd. Thank You for your
assistance in this!
STUDENTS WANTED: It is our hope to
connect with Students that may have a desire to
hold prayer in their school or university. This
is a National Day of Prayer, which allows a
greater expression of prayer. Check out the

HOLD PRAYER ELSEWHERE: We would also
like to encourage more prayer throughout the
city. If you are planning a prayer gathering on
"National Day of Prayer", let us know and we
will let others know.
In such
desperate times, it is time for desperate prayer.
